What's On? 2018 Events supported by Droitwich CVS:

The last Saturday of the month is Repair Café day!

Our Repair Café events are friendly, fun and great for the environment - they save you money, and keep stuff out of landfill. Drop your broken household items in and our team will see if they can help you fix them - all for free (donations gratefully accepted, to cover the costs of materials and room hire). The 2018 events are sponsored by Droitwich Spa CVS, who do excellent community support work in and around Droitwich and are kindly donating the space for free. We will split all donations with the CVS, so please give generously and help two great local community organisations to support YOU! Download a Q1 2018 Repair Café poster HERE and display for us!

Third Thursday of the Month is Tech Thursday!

We're running some FREE "Tech Thursday" meet-ups at The Gardener's Arms, Droitwich, where we'll be digging out the soldering irons and laptops to have fun with Arduino, Micro:Bit, Raspberry Pi and all manner of resistors, capacitors and LEDs. Bring along your projects, get help and help others with theirs, learn new things and teach others. If you're into robotics, programming, electronics, microcontrollers, radio control or anything close then you're welcome to join us! All welcome, regardless of age, gender or ability - an enquiring mind is all you really need!

If you've ever fancied yourself as a roboteer, technology geek or the next Elon Musk then TechThursday is the place to meet others like you!

May 17th 2018, 7pm - 9pm: TechThursday 0101
Where: Droitwich CVS, The Old Library, 65 Ombersley Street East, Droitwich WR9 8QS (map)
Calling all local techies! TechThursday events (you might have spotted we're using binary in the title, because we can!) - get electronic inspiration, help each other with projects, learn, teach and basically tinker around with all the latest cool tech. We're hoping to start building a MiniSumo robot to compete with other Makerspaces, so if you're interested in Robot Wars, but with proper autonomous robots (not Radio Controlled cars) then join us on our quest. It's a great social night, too, where we can have a cuppa and chat about tech without anyone getting bored!
